The team of experienced town planners at RG Strategic has submitted a development application for 2 eco-friendly cabins on Tablelands Road, Cooran.
The team meticulously crafted this proposal to align with the natural beauty and ecological values of the site, ensuring minimal environmental impact while promoting sustainable tourism in the Noosa hinterland.
Project Overview
The project entails the construction of two modular cabins, each designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. These cabins are situated to avoid environmentally significant areas and maintain good separation from mapped waterways and riparian zones. The cabins are equipped with modern amenities, including a kitchenette, dining area, bed, and ensuite, all designed in a hinterland style to take full advantage of the scenic views.
Key Features
- Proximity to Nature Trails: The site is ideally located near the Noosa Trail Network, with Trail 3 running along the frontage and Trail 2 accessible a short distance away. This makes the cabins a perfect retreat for nature enthusiasts and hikers.
- Environmental Stewardship: The property is part of the Land for Wildlife program in partnership with Noosa District Landcare. Since purchasing the land, the owners have undertaken extensive rehabilitation planting, including the removal of invasive species and the addition of 150 native trees.
- Sustainable Practices: The cabins incorporate rainwater harvesting systems for stormwater management, reducing runoff and promoting water conservation. Effluent is treated on-site with an efficient disposal system, ensuring no harm to the local ecosystem.
“Our team is committed to developing projects that not only meet the needs of our clients but also respect and enhance the natural environment. This development at 486 Tablelands Road exemplifies our dedication to sustainable and eco-friendly planning solutions.” – Russell Green, Managing Director RG Strategic

Short Term Accommodation
RG Strategic was engaged by RLSSQ to redesign and seek the Food Premises approvals for our commercial kitchen and kiosk. Russell and his team at RG Strategic assisted with the project from initial planning, through to completion of work. Russel was well versed in council guidelines and requirements, and referred us to sources for cost-efficient suppliers, etc. The Food Premises project was completed quickly and passed Council inspection without any fuss. Thanks, Russell.
